Hi Linda, Carl and Jake:
I have just arrived back in the house after having Peppy out for a fall stroll. That is what it feels like - a relaxing, enjoyable ride. Even though there was distance gun shots (it is duck season now) it didn't faze her at all.
I wanted to let you know that she has settled in so well and we adore her. She will ride out with or without another horse and doesn't get distressed about leaving the older mare. I have been to my friend's place for fall rides and Peppy has been a calming effect on Jen's young horse. She even will self load now as long as I have some hay in the bag ready for her.
My riding instructor thinks she is a marvelous horse also. She is the best horse I have ever had.
Interestingly enough I bought an older mare for Sam to ride who we have discovered refuses to load and is a little more nervous so I have Sam ride Peppy. She is so careful with him so I know Sam is in good hands.
I really appreciate that we had the good fortune to meet you and buy one of your horses. If you ever need references I would be happy to offer one.

Hello Linda and Carl
You must be wondering how Kali is doing, and I'm sorry I haven't emailed you
sooner. Kali has fit in beautifully at our farm. I am enjoying her so
much!! I am getting to ride her at least 3-4 times a week sometimes more
depending on weather, we're just taking it slow. I decided to switch to my
English saddle since I am more comfortable and she is going nicely with a
snaffle bit. I'm still continuing with neck reining her as I still intend
to show her Western. I'm so excited that she is so versatile. She's such
an easy learner. I have attached a few pictures and will continue to send
you updates as we improve.
Hope you are having fun with your new mare and I would love to come and
watch you show her if it would be ok. Let me know some dates. I plan on
attending some shows this summer but haven't decided where or when.
